Script 1: Opening a Bank Account

You: Good morning. I'd like to open a savings account, please.

Officer: Good morning! Of course. Have you banked with us before?

You: No, this would be my first account with your bank. I recently moved to this city for work.

Officer: Welcome! We have several savings account options. Our basic account has zero balance requirement, and our premium account requires a minimum balance of 10,000 rupees but offers higher interest and a free credit card.

You: What's the interest rate on the premium account?

Officer: 4.5% per annum on the premium, compared to 3.5% on the basic. You also get free unlimited NEFT/RTGS transfers.

You: I'll go with the premium account. What documents do I need?

Officer: I'll need your PAN card, Aadhaar card, two passport-size photographs, and a proof of address — either a utility bill or rental agreement.

You: I have all of those. How long does it take to activate the account?

Officer: We'll process the KYC today. Your account will be active within 24 hours, and you'll receive your debit card and cheque book within a week.

You: Can I set up internet banking and mobile banking at the same time?

Officer: Absolutely. I'll register your mobile number for SMS alerts and internet banking. You'll receive your login credentials via SMS.

Script 2: Loan Inquiry

You: Hello, I'm interested in a home loan. Could you explain the available options?

Officer: Of course! What's the approximate property value you're looking at?

You: I'm looking at properties around 50 lakhs. I can make a down payment of about 10 lakhs.

Officer: So you'd need a loan of approximately 40 lakhs. Our current home loan interest rate starts at 8.5% per annum for salaried employees. The rate depends on your credit score and employment profile.

You: What would my monthly EMI be for a 20-year term?

Officer: At 8.5% for 40 lakhs over 20 years, your EMI would be approximately 34,700 rupees per month.

You: That's within my budget. What documents would I need to apply?

Officer: You'll need: salary slips for the last 6 months, bank statements for the last year, Form 16 or ITR for the last 2 years, PAN and Aadhaar cards, and the property documents.

You: Is there a processing fee?

Officer: Yes, 0.5% of the loan amount — that would be 20,000 rupees. However, we're currently running a promotion with 50% waiver on processing fees.

You: Can I prepay the loan early if I have extra funds?

Officer: Yes, there's no prepayment penalty on floating rate home loans as per RBI guidelines. You can make partial prepayments anytime to reduce your outstanding principal.

As banking increasingly moves online, understanding digital tools becomes essential. Companies like Softechinfra build the kind of secure banking and fintech applications that are transforming how we manage finances digitally.

Script 3: Resolving a Transaction Issue

You: I need help with a transaction issue. I transferred 15,000 rupees via NEFT yesterday, but the recipient says they haven't received it.

Officer: I'm sorry to hear that. Could I have your account number and the transaction reference number?

You: My account number is [number]. The reference number is NEFT20260315001.

Officer: Let me check... I can see the debit from your account was successful. The funds appear to be in transit. Could you confirm the beneficiary's account number and IFSC code?

You: The account number is [number] and IFSC is [code].

Officer: Those match our records. NEFT transfers sometimes take up to 24 hours for different banks. Since it's been less than 24 hours, I'd suggest waiting until end of business today.

You: And if it still hasn't arrived by then?

Officer: Then we'll raise a formal complaint with the RBI payment system. The amount will be traced and either credited to the beneficiary or returned to your account within 48 hours.

You: Thank you. Could you also send me a transaction confirmation on my registered email?

Officer: Done. You should receive it within the next few minutes.

Script 4: Asking for Help at the ATM

You: Excuse me, could you help me? The ATM debited my account but didn't dispense the cash.

Security Guard: Oh, that happens sometimes. You should note down the ATM ID — it's on the machine — and the time of the transaction. Then report it inside the branch.

You: (At the branch counter) The ATM outside debited 5,000 rupees from my account but the cash didn't come out. Here's a screenshot of the debit SMS.

Officer: I'll log a complaint immediately. The ATM ID is needed for investigation — do you have it?

You: Yes, it's ATM-MH-4521. The transaction happened at 2:15 PM.

Officer: Thank you. The amount will be reversed to your account within 5-7 working days after investigation. You'll receive an SMS confirmation. Here's your complaint reference number.

Script 5: Digital Banking Support Call

Agent: Thank you for calling [Bank] customer care. How may I assist you?

You: I'm unable to log into my internet banking. It says my account is locked.

Agent: I can help you with that. For verification purposes, could you please provide your registered mobile number and date of birth?

You: My mobile number is [number] and date of birth is [date].

Agent: Thank you. I can see that your account was locked due to 3 incorrect password attempts. I'll reset it for you. You'll receive a temporary password via SMS in the next 2 minutes.

You: Thank you. Once I log in with the temporary password, will I need to create a new one?

Agent: Yes, you'll be prompted to create a new password immediately after logging in. Make sure it has at least 8 characters with uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and a special character.

You: Got it. While I have you on the line, could you also help me register for UPI on my new phone?

Agent: Of course. Download our bank app, select UPI registration, and enter your debit card number when prompted. You'll receive an OTP on your registered mobile to complete the setup.
