Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using TalkDrill ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, as well as information collected automatically when you use the Service:
- Account information: phone number, name, and profile details
- Usage data: conversations, practice sessions, and learning progress
- Device and browser information for service optimization
- Communication data when you contact our support team
Free Trial & IP Tracking
To prevent abuse of our free trial system and ensure fair usage, we collect certain technical data:
- We collect IP addresses and browser fingerprints for free trial abuse prevention
- This data is stored for 90 days and automatically deleted
- IP data is hashed and not shared with third parties
- Free trial usage is limited to one 3-minute session per unique user per 24 hours
How We Use Your Data
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Personalize your learning experience and track progress
- Communicate with you about updates, support, and promotions
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and abuse

Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:
- Service providers who assist in operating the platform (hosting, analytics, payment processing)
- Professional tutors you book sessions with (limited to session-relevant information)
- Law enforcement when required by law or to protect rights and safety
All third-party providers are bound by data processing agreements and are required to protect your information.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit and at rest, regular security audits, and access controls.
Web Platform Technologies
We use the Web OTP API to auto-read verification codes for a seamless login. This requires SMS permission and is used only for authentication.
We use cookies for authentication tokens, free trial session tracking, user preferences, and analytics. For full details, see our Cookies Policy.
We collect personal details like your name, email address, and phone number etc. By sharing your information, you authorize TalkDrill to contact you via SMS, RCS, WhatsApp, Email, and other communication channels. This consent overrides any NDNC/DND registration as per TRAI regulations.
Your Rights (GDPR & Global)
If you are in the EU, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, or port your personal data. You may also object to or restrict certain processing activities. Contact legal@talkdrill.com for any data requests.
Regardless of your location, you can request a copy of your data, ask for data deletion, or update your information through your account settings or by contacting us.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. TalkDrill shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
