Any agreed video fee, your paid-user commission and any view-milestone reward are added together. The calculator below includes the first two; gifts stay extra.

The conditions, in plain English
  • The video fee is not automatic. It is agreed with you before you post and scales with your follower count — and for smaller accounts it can be ₹0, meaning you earn on commission alone. We will tell you which it is before you make anything.
  • You earn on a subscriber’s first paid month. Their renewals after that are ours — there is no ongoing commission.
  • A person counts as yours if they signed up through your link, whenever they subscribe afterwards.
  • Free trials do not pay out on their own — the commission is credited when the first full payment goes through.
  • Earnings are held for 30 days before release, so refunds and cancellations can settle. Anything refunded in that window is reversed.
  • We pay by UPI or bank transfer once your balance crosses ₹1,000. We will collect your payout details after you are approved.

Questions creators actually ask

How many followers do I need?

There is no hard minimum. Around 5,000 engaged followers is where the maths usually starts to work, but we have approved smaller accounts with a genuinely invested audience and turned down large ones with none. Send the application and let us look.

When exactly do I get paid?

Any agreed video fee is booked once your content is live. Subscription commissions appear in your dashboard the moment a follower pays, then sit in a 30-day review window so refunds and cancellations can settle. After that they become payable, and we transfer once your balance crosses ₹1,000.

How is my video fee decided — and might it be zero?

It scales with your follower count and how your first video actually performs, from ₹100 at the smaller end up to ₹2,000. It can also be zero: for accounts below the size where a fee makes sense for us, we offer commission only — ₹300 on Pro and ₹800 on Pro+, uncapped — rather than turn you away. Either way we tell you the number before you make anything, so you are never guessing while you film. A first video that beats expectations is the usual reason a fee goes up, or appears where there was none.

Do the gifts replace the video fee?

No, they stack. Whatever video fee we agreed with you still stands, and so does the subscription commission. If that same video crosses a view milestone within 30 days, you also get the matching cash bonus or gift — the highest rung it hits, not every rung below it. The milestone rewards do not depend on having a video fee, so a creator on commission only can still win one. We check the public count and send the prize; it is not automatic like the subscription payout.

What if someone clicks my link today and subscribes next month?

You still earn. Attribution is set when they sign up through your link, not when they pay, so a slow decision does not cost you the commission.

Do I earn again when they renew?

No. You earn on their first paid month — ₹300 on Pro, ₹800 on Pro+ — and renewals after that are ours. We would rather be straight about it than bury it in a contract.

Do you control what I say in the video?

No. We will send you the points that tend to land and we will ask you not to promise things the app cannot do, but the script, the format and the jokes are yours. Content that sounds like an ad does not convert anyway.

Is this exclusive? Can I promote other apps?

It is not exclusive. We only ask that you do not put a competing English-learning app in the same video.

What about tax?

Payments are professional income, so we will ask for your PAN and will deduct TDS where the law requires it. If you are GST-registered you can raise an invoice.

What if my audience is mostly outside India?

Still apply, but mention it. Our pricing and payouts are in rupees and the product is built for Indian learners, so an overseas audience usually converts differently. We will tell you honestly whether it is worth your time.

I do not make videos. Is there anything for me?

Yes — the Affiliate Programme at talkdrill.com/programs/affiliate/. It pays the same ₹300 on Pro and ₹800 on Pro+ per person, with no video fee and no gifts, but also no content to make and no follower minimum. If you can reach people who want to speak better English — a WhatsApp group, a class, a newsletter, a website — that is the one to apply to.
