Privacy Policy for Tutors — TalkDrill Tutor app

What we collect

• Account details: name, phone number, email, gender, username and time zone.
• Your tutor profile: photo, bio, tagline, experience, education, certifications, languages and specialisations.
• Verification documents: the identity document, résumé and selfie you upload.
• Sessions: your availability and bookings, the audio and video of sessions, recordings and transcripts where recording is on, in-session chat, and the notes and ratings you and learners leave.
• Earnings: the sessions you are paid for and your payout history.
• Device data: a push-notification token and basic diagnostics from the notification and video-call services.

How we use it

• To verify who you are before you teach.
• To show your profile to learners, take bookings and run live sessions.
• To let you and the learner review past sessions, and to look into quality or safety concerns.
• To pay you and keep payment records.
• To send you session reminders and account notices.

Who sees it

• Learners see your public profile: name, photo, bio, languages, specialisations and rating. Your phone number, email and documents are never shown to them.
• Service providers process data for us, for example video calls, push notifications and cloud storage. They may use it only to provide that service.
• We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, your profile, photos, verification documents and availability are deleted. Payment records are kept for as long as the law requires.

Your choices

• Edit your profile and notification settings in the app.
• Delete your account from Profile → Delete account, or from the verification screen while your application is under review. Deletion completes after a 7-day window in which you can change your mind.
